County to mark lead poisoning prevention week
WOODSTOCK – To increase awareness of childhood lead poisoning prevention, the McHenry County Health Department and federal agencies are participating in National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week starting Sunday.
This year’s theme, “Lead-Free Kids for a Healthy Future,” underscores the importance of testing one’s home and child, and learning how to prevent lead poisoning’s serious health effects.
