Crystal Lake class to train alcohol servers, sellers

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Police Department will host a Basic Alcohol Seller/Server Education Training class starting at 9 a.m. Oct. 30.

This class provides training to bartenders and others involved in the sale of alcohol, teaching how to spot fraudulent age identification, identifying people who should not be served alcohol before it becomes a problem and state laws regarding alcohol sales.

The class is open to anyone 18 years or older who works in the beverage service industry.

People who want to attend must register by completing an application by 4 p.m. Friday at the police department.

There is a $35 fee a person attending. The class is limited to the first 10 applicants.
