Character Counts is a popular ethics based educational program. The cornerstone of its model is six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Some Crystal Lake parents urged school board members to reconsider the program, arguing that morals taught to their children should be left to them.
