Road tax dilemma

To the Editor:

After attending our annual road association meeting this year, it was brought to our attention that it’s time to receive our fair share of taxes paid to the township for roads and bridges.

Having lived here 47 years, we know our home alone has contributed a good amount of taxes to no avail.

Our road is in tip-top condition, thanks to our concerned residents who pay annual association dues besides the tax paid to the township.

The County Board has the power to change this situation for us, and with the election coming soon, we need people who understand our plight.

We understand Kathleen Bergan-Schmidt and John Hammerand are understanding of our dilemma and are hopeful other candidates are too.
