HUNTLEY – The sides in the District 158 contract dispute disagree over whether their negotiations ever reached a second tentative agreement Oct. 10.

The school board wrote in a news release Thursday that the sides formed an oral agreement to a one-year contract, claiming the snag happened when union negotiators presented the plan to their membership.

The union, formally the Huntley Education Association, responded in a news release that the board’s statement that a second agreement was ever reached is “patently false.”
