Suit says hospital mistakenly declared boy dead
CHICAGO (AP) — The parents of an 8-year-old boy are suing a Chicago hospital, alleging doctors pronounced their son dead though he was still alive.
The lawsuit accuses Mercy Hospital and Medical Center of negligence and ignoring signs of life in the boy.
In February, Sheena Lane and Pink Dorsey found their disabled son, Jaylen, unresponsive at their home and brought him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
