Sex offender held for not registering
WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock man remained in custody Monday afternoon after being charged with failing to register as a sex offender.
Lars E. Holmer, 38, of 1641 Raffel Road, has an extensive criminal record, including previous convictions for failing to register, which led to a two-year prison sentence in 2009.
In 2002, he was convicted of criminal sexual abuse of a minor. According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, he was 23 at the time of the offense; the victim was 15.
