To the Editor:

Over the past few months, I have heard a significant  number of Cary taxpayers discussing the Cary Park District Commissioners’ pursuing the purchase of Chalet Hills Golf Club. There is concern regarding this wasteful spending at a time when municipalities are trying to cut back on spending.

If the Cary Park District purchases Chalet Hills, it will no longer generate property taxes, some of which currently support our schools. Cary taxpayers need to voice their opinion regarding responsible spending by those we have elected to the Cary Park District Board.
