Creating jobs

To the Editor:

I was shocked during the Oct. 16 presidential debate when Mitt Romney stated three times that “government does not create jobs.” This seems to be an oxymoron since he is running for a government job (president) and states over and over again, “I know how to create jobs.”

Since he has been and wants to be again a government employee, how can he create jobs when “government does not create jobs”?

Also, neither candidate answered the last question about what the greatest misperception is about you. They both went into their standard 17-point, pre-programmed speeches about anything but the question.
