Defenders to host Make a Difference Day activities
WOODSTOCK – The Water Resources Protection and the Natural Resources committees of the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County invite Defenders members and the public to join efforts Saturday at two sites in Woodstock as part of the national Make A Difference Day.
Habitat restoration and picnic table painting will be done at the Defenders’ property at the headwaters of the Kishwaukee River. Clearing a trail of invasive species will be the task at the Gerry Street Nature Area near Emricson Park.
The events begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon.
