CRYSTAL LAKE – The Silver and Sleepy Hollow Creeks Watershed Coalition (Coalition) in McHenry County has just been chosen as one of the recipients of the 2013 Local Technical Assistance Program from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.
Recipient partners for this award are the Cities of Crystal Lake and McHenry, and the Villages of Prairie Grove and Oakwood Hills who have been active collaborative partners in creating the “Silver Creek and Sleepy Hollow Creek Watershed Action Plan."
The Technical Assistance award will assist the participating communities with reviewing their policies, regulations, codes and ordinances for consistency with the recommendations of the December 2011 Watershed Action Plan for protecting water quality within the watershed. The Coalition was formed in 2011 to implement the Watershed Action Plan recommendations and consists of participating units of local government and Not for Profits within the watersheds. For more information on the Coalition e-mail email@example.com.
