To the Editor:

As a concerned citizen of McHenry County, I would like to take a few moments to address the ballot referendum in regard to the county executive form of government. Simply put, this is a bad idea for McHenry County.

It is in the best interest of our county to vote “no” on this referendum come November. With the many things in our system today that are broken in politics, this is one item that should not be touched as our current administrative form allows for healthy debates, discussion and tough votes.
