D-50 suspects misuse of funds
HARVARD – District 50 and Harvard police are investigating “improper” use of school money, the district said in a news release late Tuesday.
The district has taken steps to secure its accounts and computer network, the release said.
Payroll staff discovered late last week that something was wrong with district finances, spokesman Bill Clow said. He said students are not being investigated and declined to say whether any district employees are under suspicion.
