Artist to exhibit at Cary library in November

CARY – The pastel paintings of artist Jenny Vogt will be displayed in November at the Cary Area Public Library, 1606 Three Oaks Road.

The public is invited to view her work during regular library hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Vogt grew up enjoying the outdoors and her art reflects the flora and fauna she encounters in birding and being involved in the restoration of natural areas.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio and had a successful career in advertising and publication. She volunteers for a number of nature-oriented groups and is a committee member and mentor for the Volo Bog Youth Art Guild.

The public will have the opportunity to meet Vogt during a “Meet the Artist” event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the library.

For information, call 847-639-4210.
