To the Editor:

For decades, Mexican citizens have migrated to the U.S. searching for better economic and living conditions. Past immigration has been a sad vote on the economic opportunities available in Mexico. We have had much discussion over the years on illegal immigration.

Our citizens hold a wide divergence of opinion, from opening the borders no matter what the cost, to enforcing existing laws, to further tightening the laws and borders. With our current economic malaise though, the question is, unfortunately, being solved.
