Life lesson

To the Editor:

I wanted to take a moment and thank Mr. Kaiser, Mrs. Johannesen, the staff and all of the volunteers at Lundahl Middle School for the fitness challenge on Oct. 19.

I felt so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful event. Never did I think a group of eighth graders would have such an impact on my life.

Forty-eight students went 26 miles in the cold and rain. The companionship, teamwork and endurance was amazing.

It is a great experience and life lesson these students will take with them for the rest of their lives. Hats off to all who participated.
