At noon, CUB will give a 10-minute presentation on CUBenergysaver.com, a free online tool with hundreds of simple and affordable actions consumers can take to cut their energy bills. The service shows people how to save an average of $108 a year.
CUB also will give an update on Crystal Lake’s “municipal aggregation” program and how much it is saving electric customers. Residents currently are paying 4.69 cents per kilowatt-hour through July 2014 with FirstEnergy Solutions.
