McHENRY – The McHenry Parks and Recreation Department will offer first-aid and CPR/AED classes for those ages 15 and older.

The CPR/AED class will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

The first-aid class will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19. Both classes will be at the McHenry Municipal Center, 333 S. Green St. in McHenry. Participants will learn first-aid skills such as determining unconsciousness, treating cuts, scrapes and burns, controlling bleeding, treating injuries to bones, muscles and joints, and preventing and caring for sudden illness, including heat and cold emergencies.
