Our view: Feds should investigate, not special prosecutor
A McHenry County judge once again faces a request for a special prosecutor with fairly apparent political undertones.
The allegations are more explosive this time, although as more information comes out and more parties explain the circumstances of a Drug Enforcement Administration probe involving the shipment of 60,000 pounds of marijuana, the allegations made by a sheriff’s narcotics division sergeant are being put into new context.
The ball is now in McHenry County State’s Attorney Lou Bianchi’s court.
