PAC that had backed Walsh moving cash elsewhere

CHICAGO – A super PAC that had put nearly $2 million into the campaign of tea party-backed U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh has decided to invest its money in other races.

The Republican from McHenry faces a well-financed Democratic opponent, Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth, in one of the most closely watched and most volatile U.S. House campaigns in Illinois.

The Now or Never super PAC said it isn't "running from a fight" and decided to move its money after concluding Walsh was on a winning trajectory, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Saturday.
