Effects of Sandy to be felt near Lake Michigan
CHICAGO – Weather officials say the effects of Hurricane Sandy will even be felt in Illinois.
Much of the Eastern Seaboard is in the path of the rare behemoth storm. Hurricane Sandy was expected to make landfall early Tuesday near the Delaware coast, then hit two winter weather systems as it moves inland, creating a hybrid monster storm.
The National Weather Service issued a lakeshore flood watch for late Monday night through Wednesday afternoon for areas bordering Lake Michigan.
