Experienced leaders

To the Editor:

McHenry County Board District 6 faces serious challenges, including the Unified Development Ordinance, possible water restrictions and storm water ordinance. We are the largest land mass in the county with the fewest representatives (four), so it’s paramount that we have the right people protecting us.

For 12 years Ersel Schuster has been an intelligent, dedicated and resourceful board member, fighting against tax increases, unwarranted spending, service redundancies and uncontrolled budgets. In 2008, we elected another strong advocate, Diane Evertsen. Diane had proven herself to be a fierce proponent for residents.

They have battled county bureaucracy, worked to eliminate waste, and voted against the property tax levy. Their common-sense approach to issues is a breath of fresh air and their work ethic is incomparable. We need these experienced leaders guarding the unique landscape of District 6 that we simply call home. Vote for Schuster and Evertsen!
