MARICOPA, Ariz. – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Jenny Banjavcic and Joe Szoltysik, both of Maricopa, Ariz.

She is the daughter of Russ and Susan Banjavcic of Huntley. He is the son of Chester and Kathy Szoltysik of Maricopa, Ariz., formerly of Orland Park.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Huntley High School and a 2007 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is a seventh- and eighth-grade science teacher at Maricopa Wells Middle School in Maricopa, Ariz.
