Iroquois County logs first homicide since 2009
GILMAN, Ill. — Authorities in eastern Illinois are investigating the first homicide in Iroquois County since 2009.
The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports that investigators have ruled out robbery as a motive in the death of 27-year-old Jonathan Rubin of Danforth.
Authorities say Rubin was a clerk at a gas station in Gilman, which is about 75 miles south of Chicago.
