Christmas of Yesteryear in downtown Richmond

RICHMOND – The 15th annual Christmas of Yesteryear celebration will be Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in downtown Richmond.

Hang your homemade ornament or decoration on the Community Tree from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Santa Claus will arrive in an antique fire truck at 6:30 p.m. for the annual tree-lighting ceremony at the gazebo in Stevens Park.

After the tree lighting, Santa will be available in Memorial Hall and refreshments will be available.

From noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 there will be caroling, storytelling by Jim May, and St. Joseph’s Cookie Walk.

Women’s Fellowship from the Community Church of Richmond will host their annual Soup Luncheon & Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1. They will be serving soup in bread bowls, hot dogs, pies, bread and cookies from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Richmond Fire Department’s Breakfast with Santa will be from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 2 in Memorial Hall.
