Devoted public servant
To the Editor:
John Hammerand has devoted many years to public service, both in his community of Wonder Lake and on the McHenry County Board. For John’s entire public service career, he has fought against excessive government regulation and excessive government spending. He voted against sending lobbyists and county personnel to Washington because he believes that our elected federal representatives should do their job.
John voted to reduce the county levy and fought for a countywide reassessment of property to market value. He introduced the Whistleblower Act to reward and protect citizens and government employees who speak out against the unlawful use of government dollars. John has represented his constituents well, and will continue to do so.
