Girl Scouts to learn about flag

MCHENRY – Area Girl Scouts will get a chance to see 50 historical flags, learn flag etiquette and earn their flag patch.

The Kishwaukee Trail Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will host the event from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Duker School, 3711 Kane Ave., McHenry.

Participants are asked to bring at least three food pantry items for the Transitional Living Center, which operates a center in Hebron for homeless veterans.
