McHENRY – A Melrose Park man has been charged in two vehicle thefts, the McHenry Police Department said.

Thomas M. Gibbons, 45, was charged Tuesday with two felony counts of unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and is being held in DuPage County. He was charged with possession of stolen property in that county.

The charges stem from two incidents Sunday in McHenry, according to a news release. A semi-tractor was taken from JA Logistics and a semi-trailer was stolen from Charles Herdrich & Son Inc. The trailer contained $20,000 worth of beer and alcohol products, authorities said.
