Police: CL standoff ends without incident

CRYSTAL LAKE – A standoff situation at a Crystal Lake apartment this morning ended without incident, according to the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Police dispersed a 10-man response team near the corner of Union Street and 2nd Court around 9 a.m. following a report of an unstable, armed man inside a home in the 200 block of Uteg Street, according to a news release.

The report came from members of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center, who stated they had received a call from the man within Crystal Lake city limits, police said.
