Police seize pot from Cary home

CARY – Eight area residents face drug-related charges after nearly five pounds of marijuana was seized Friday from a home in Cary, according to the North Central Narcotics Task Force.

Arrested were Mauric R. Lebbos, 20, of Cary; Dylan J. Trama, 20, of Barrington; Eli P. Kulack, 21, of Algonquin; Jesse C. Peterson, 20, of West Dundee; Jacob N. McGowan, 21, of East Dundee; Ryan D. Kennedy, 21, of Algonquin; and Joshua R. Ernst, 21, of Elgin.

Each is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver and possession of cannabis.

The arrests concluded an investigation that revolved around a package delivered to a home in the 700 block of Laurel Lane in Cary, according to a news release. Authorities obtained information that the package from California contained a substantial amount of marijuana.

Narcotics task force members and the U.S. Postal Service searched the home Friday and found about 2,159 grams of marijuana, $1,500 in cash and drug paraphernalia, the news release said.

Members of the Crystal Lake Police Department and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing.
