Several pounds of pot seized from Cary home

CARY – Eight area residents face drug-related charges after close to five pounds of pot was seized Friday from a Cary home, according to the North Central Narcotics Task Force.

Mauric R. Lebbos, 20, of Cary; Dylan J. Trama, 20, of Barrington; Eli P. Kulack, 21, of Algonquin; Jesse C. Peterson, 20, of West Dundee; Jacob N. McGowan, 21, of East Dundee; Ryan D. Kennedy, 21, of Algonquin; and Joshua R. Ernst, 21, of Elgin, have each been charged with possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver.

They have also been charged with possession of cannabis.

The arrests concluded an investigation regarding a package that had been delivered to a home in the 700 block of Laurel Lane in Cary, according to a news release. Authorities obtained information that the package from California contained a substantial amount of cannabis.

Based on that information, task force members and the U.S. Postal Service searched the home Friday and found approximately 2,159 grams of cannabis, $1,500 in cash and numerous items of drug paraphernalia, the news release states.

Members of the Crystal Lake Police Department and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing.
