To the Editor:

I am against the Cary Park District Board of Commissioners’ consideration of the purchase of the Chalet Hills Golf Club. If they were to purchase it, the golf course would no longer generate property taxes, which would then have to be made up by taxpayers. I was reading meeting minutes of the board meetings for last year and found a few interesting discussions.

You may want to look at the minutes of July 28, 2011, at www.caryparks.com, which discuss GolfVision, the company that manages Foxford Hills Golf Course (owned by the Cary Park District) and who now also manages Chalet Hills Golf Club.
