To the Editor:

I have become disheartened by the letters printed in the Northwest Herald and the comments posted on your website that drip of vitriolic hatred. When our political dialogue devolves into incessant negative jabbing, we do a disservice to our country.

I have seen very little policy discussion on these pages. Rather, my neighbors have been furthering the sound bite culture of politics, neglecting to focus on policy and opting for negativity and disrespect. It is not my, nor anyone else’s, place to tell you how to vote; your vote is a personal decision that only you can make.
