Dog rescue

To the Editor:

While driving down Route 176 recently, traffic was out of control, horns blowing, no one moving. I looked out my side window and saw a pit bull running down the middle of the road. I stopped, got out and starting calling him, only to look to my left and see a grey bit bull running on the side of the road. I got the grey one in my car and proceeded to track the white one. Not one person got out of their car to help.

My friend lives on 176 and I was able to pull in her driveway. She came out and we got a leash on the white dog. I have never seen so many people put their noses in the air or look away. Was it because they were pit bulls? Or are that many people capable of turning a blind eye to a crisis?
