CHICAGO (AP) — The husband of a Naperville woman accused of fatally stabbing the couple's 7-year-old son and a young girl says his wife wasn't angry at him, as authorities say she told them.

Prosecutors in DuPage County contend Elizbieta Plackowska (elz-BEE'-tah plah-KOW'-skuh) killed the boy because she wanted to make her husband suffer.

But in a brief telephone interview with The Associated Press on Thursday, Artur Plackowski said that doesn't make any sense. He says she'd told him that she loved him the day before the slayings.
