Fiscal responsibility
To the Editor:
This letter is not so much about the upcoming election but concerns with the fiscal responsibility of our elected officials.
With this country in dire financial straits, our sitting president expended huge amounts of money on a trip to Chicago to early vote. In addition to the costs of all the entities this trip entailed, it also gridlocked the city during the evening rush. His wife stayed behind in Washington and voted by absentee ballot. Why didn’t he do the same?
