To the Editor:
John Hammerand is my brother-in-law and has been married to my older sister, Cheryl, for 39 years.
I have known John since I was 9 years old. I have seen him grow from a teenager to a man. I have seen him work to make sure that his family of four was always without need. I have seen him help my mother with financial issues after my father died in 1981. I have seen him maintain a solid marriage with my sister for almost 40 years.
