To the Editor:

Why would anyone pay to have their real estate assessment appealed? You can do it yourself for free. The township assessor will help if needed.

Why pay an outside firm $100 upfront and then if the assessment is lowered they get half of your savings. Do it yourself and keep 100 percent of the savings.
