Package causes stir in Huntley

HUNTLEY – Police on Saturday removed a suspicious package and vehicle from the Huntley High School parking lot.

The vehicle and package were investigated with the assistance of the Kane County Explosives Unit.

“The area has been found to be safe,” a Nixle advisory issued by the police department said.

Police said the area was clear about 9:30 p.m, about three hours after the initial alert was issued.

No other information about the incident has been released.

“Normal activities on the property and surrounding area may now continue,” the Nixle advisory said.
