Golden Corral to hold military appreciation night

ALGONQUIN – Golden Corral will offer free meals to active-duty military personnel and military veterans to show appreciation for their service.

This is the fifth time the Algonquin Golden Corral has held a Military Appreciation Monday – a 12-year tradition for the Golden Corral chain.

To date, more than 3.2 million free meals have been given to active and retired military personnel across the country.

Veterans and active military personnel receive a free meal and can share experiences with one another.

As part of the annual event, Golden Corral restaurants have raised money for chapters of Disabled American Veterans. Last year, it raised more than $1 million and to date $6.1 million has been raised for DAV.

Locally, the Military Appreciation Monday will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Golden Corral at 1591 S. Randall Road.
