Green Drinks group to meet in Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE – The public is invited to Green Drinks McHenry County from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Duke’s Alehouse & Kitchen, 110 N. Main St. in Crystal Lake.

The topic for the evening is "Energy Efficiency for Small Businesses and Residential Applications," with Ethan Fackler, lighting and energy management specialist for CED-Chicagoland.

Fackler will talk about electrical and lighting energy efficiency in the residential and commercial marketplace. He will demonstrate examples of good and bad technology without being brand-specific to demonstrate the variety in quality for new products. He also will discuss the opportunities to capture ComEd rebate incentives and give examples of successful case studies.

There will be an information table set up, and participants are welcome to bring information about green products and services each month to share.

Additional parking is available at the train station.

To be added to the group's email list, send a note to: GreenDrinksMC@gmail.com or “like” the group on FaceBook.
