Work scheduled for 3 Harvard railroad crossings
HARVARD – Three railroad crossings in rural Harvard will undergo construction in the coming weeks.
Railworks Track Services will rebuild the crossings at Maxon Road from Nov. 19 to 22; Oak Grove Road from Nov. 26 to 29; and White Oaks Road from Dec. 3 to 6. Traffic on the Chemung Township roads will be rerouted during construction.
“We’re basically just resurfacing the crossing,” Eric Beerden of Railworks Track Services said. “Over time, all crossings get worn down. They get rough.”
