D-200 seeks applicants for school board seat

WOODSTOCK – District 200 is accepting applications to fill the void on the school board left by Sue Palmore, the board vice president who died last week.

Applications will be accepted until Nov. 19, with the candidates interviewed on the evening of Nov. 27. The board will announce Palmore’s successor at the Dec. 11 school board meeting.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, residents of Illinois and the school district for at least one year, and registered to vote.

Applicants also must live in either Greenwood, Hartland or Seneca townships. The board already has three representatives from Dorr Township, the maximum allowed under board policy.

Those interested in the position should send their name, address, resume and a statement no longer than two typewritten pages about their interest in serving on the board.

Applications should be addressed to D-200 Board Member Vacancy, c/o Paul J. Meyer, Board President, District 200 Administrative Services Center, 227 W. Judd St., Woodstock, IL 60098.
