Paramedics injured in head-on collision in Woodstock
WOODSTOCK – Two paramedics went to the hospital with minor injuries Tuesday after an oncoming vehicle struck their ambulance, according to the Woodstock Police Department.
The private ambulance service was responding to an emergency call in the Woodstock area at around 7:40 a.m. when it was struck by a Chevrolet Impala at the intersection of Routes 47 and 14, according to a news release.
The ambulance had its emergency equipment activated as it stopped at the intersection to make sure it was clear to proceed, the news release states. It was then struck by a vehicle traveling south on Route 47.
