Police seize $40k worth of pot in Wonder Lake

WOODSTOCK – A Wonder Lake man faces drug-related charges after more than $40,000 worth of pot was found in his apartment, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

Anthony S. Johnson, 40, was charged Monday with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, production of cannabis sativa plants and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies searched the property following a tip about suspicious odors coming from an apartment on the 7400 block of Hancock Drive, according to a news release. They proceeded to find 20 plants, approximately 2,430 grams of marijuana, and several items of drug paraphernalia.
