Workplace bullying training offered

McHENRY – Bullying in schools is a serious problem. What happens to these bullies when they graduate from the playground? They go to work.

Roughly one-third of the workforce will experience bullying in the workplace, said panelists of “Rebel Without A Cause: Best Practices for Responding to Workplace Bullying,” at a recent Section of Labor and Employment Law Conference in Chicago.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice statistics, about two million violent crimes occur at work each year. In response to this serious issue, McHenry County College is offering Preventing Workplace Bullying, a training seminar from 8 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 29 at the Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane, McHenry.
