McHenry man held in child sex assault

McHENRY – A 31-year-old McHenry man was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.

Ryan J. Frazier was charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a class X felony, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Twin Lakes, Wis., police alerted local authorities that a child reported being sexually abused by Frazier in his home in unincorporated McHenry.

The McHenry County Child Advocacy Center interviewed the child, who confirmed the report. In an interview with authorities, Frazier admitted to sexually assaulting the child in October, the news release said.

He is being held the McHenry County Jail, with bond set at $150,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
