It truly is a shame that our government is so interested in the plight of illegal immigrants that they do not have the time or same concern for its own citizens. The Obama administration has done little to nothing during its tenure in the White House to help the first Americans who settled in this country. They have been denied and swept under the carpet once and again, as in years past. Many of them live in substandard housing without electricity, plumbing and running water.

Their elderly have been denied federal assistance for heating fuel for the past three winters. Unemployment is from 35 percent to 85 percent throughout their communities. Alcoholism starts as young as 8 and 9 years old, and is five times the national average.
