Illinois employment offices close for holiday
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Offices of the Illinois Department of Employment Security will be closed Monday in observance of Veterans Day.
Regular office hours -- 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday -- will resume Nov. 13.
Services will still be available on the Employment Security website. Workers may apply for first-time unemployment benefits, complete certification necessary to receive payment, and switch the method of payment to direct deposit.
