The area will be under a wind advisory from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The area is expected to see southerly winds from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph until a cold front arrives this evening.
The very strong winds could result in minor wind damage, including downed tree lims and power lines.
Residents are encouraged to secure any loose items that would be susceptible to high winds. Drivers, particularly of high vehicles, are encouraged to be alert and use caution, as driving may become difficult because of the wind.
